Robot Framework 7.4 release candidate 1 is out! 🤖

Robot Framework 7.4 is a new feature release with support for secret variables, typed standard library keywords, enhancements to working with bytes and various other features and fixes. This first, and hopefully also the last, release candidate contains all planned code changes. For more details about everything that’s new, enhanced or fixed, see the release notes.

We hope that as many users as possible could test this release candidate in their environments. This helps to ensure that new features work as expected and that there are no regressions. We’ll make sure to fix all reported bugs before the final release that’s planned for Wednesday December 10, 2025.

Big thanks to Robot Framework Foundation for their continued support, to all contributors, and to everyone else who has tested preview releases, submitted bug reports, proposed enhancements, debugged problems, or otherwise helped with Robot Framework 7.4 development. :rocket:
