Hi everyone,
is there a way to compare a PDF/A-3A format with embeded xml file? so checking the content of the PDF and extracting the xml file from it and compare it also?
BR
Omar
Hi,
I’m not really familiar with the format, but saw you posted on a Doctest.VisualTest library topic, so this library works well from my point of view (I use Compare Images directly for PDF) to compare visually the files.
To extract xml, I saw quickly there some open-source tools like this that can be run in command line (so eventually could be run through process library in RF):

Thanks a lot
Hi Omar,
I don’t think there is a robot framework library for what your after (I haven’t seen one)
I did see the pikepdf python module claims PDF/A compliance, perhaps this section from the Tutorial will help you acheive what you need.
Remember you can easily create robot framework keywords in python, so you should be able to adapt this for your needs
Dave.
