Hi,

RF doc gives this:

> **[Set up your IDE | ROBOT FRAMEWORK](https://docs.robotframework.org/docs/getting_started/ide#pycharm)**
>
> Install an IDE and Extensions for code-completion and debugging

And if you search the forum for “pyCharm plugin” there are other solutions, but I think the issue is maintainability and support of the tools.

I’m not using it now, but can tell you VsCode with Robotcode extension work like a charm 🙂

Charlie

To expand on this:

Robotcode is developing a version of the extension for Pycharm, but is still in the works (although I believe you can install it). Once it is ready, I expect it will be the best option, assuming it allows for debugging like it does in VS Code.

In the meantime, I believe Hyper (mentioned in documentation Charlie linked) works the best. I don’t use Pycharm myself, but I know of a coworker who was investigating this recently and went with Hyper.
